Movements of new red trains on WCML

Hello all

Keep seeing these red trains on the West Coast Main Line. Running empty and usually have a destination of Wembley Central.

Just wondering who / what they are? They're passenger trains by the way and look like brand new rolling stock but have no branding or logos etc.

They will be the new Class 387(?) for Gatwick Express.

Yes, these trains are for Govia Thameslink Railway's Gatwick Express route, there is a Class 387 thread with the details.

They live at Bletchely depot for the period of their commissioning and testing. They are delivered from Derby at about midnight and come via the Marston Vale Line - there was one last night
