Unlikely, as there have been very few formations of more than 12 cars, and even twelve would require two single units.
Possible if HAPs ever deputised for CEPs on a boat train (eg MLV+12HAP or MLV-TLV-10HAP)

I've got around 3,000 journeys recoreded on a spreadsheet and only once have I needed to use the fourth column.
If I ever need a fifth it will really ruin my formatting so hopefully I don't have to cross that bridge!

I thought there was a limit on number of cabs in any consist.
Regional Railways ran a special train for its staff (so not exactly in service, but still running with passengers) formed of 6 x 158s on 13 October 1990.

Not too long ago a 12 coach 700 also rescued a 12 coach 700 at Gatwick, though it was only a shunt to the sidings presumably. If I remember correctly they ran like this for coupler testing too before introduction though I could be wrong.

I seem to remember travelling on a Banbury to London Marylebone stopping service formed of something in the 8-12 coaches range around 2019-what made this remarkable was that most/all of the units were 2 coach class 168s. If my mind isn’t playing tricks, it must have been an in service positioning move of some form (I seem to recall around ten people per unit so not high demand).

That would have been 8 car max, 4 units, Marylebone can't take more than 9/10 carrriages.
Ok, a bit less long than I thought it may have been. The main thing I remember is surprise at so many 2 coach 168s strung together for a (very quiet) local service.

Can anyone confirm if this ran as shown on RTT or was it a late unit swap that hasn’t shown properly?

The most I've seen on a train was 4 units, it's happened a couple of times along the Durham Coast Line when the East Coast has been closed, and the empty stock has ran to Middlesbrough via the Coast
