We have discussed these before; they are not retail fares but are fares where special requirements have to be met (eg. many ''Kids for a Quid'' fares are shown as £999 for adults but £1 for children and group fares are shown high when not put within a group) and the price is set high to avoid them being sold where they shouldn't be.

So could these technically still be issued? Some people who collect coins look for the one offs and the error ones, as these are usually quite rare and therefore valuable. Might be some ticket collectors out there who would want it (and a quick refund afterwards!).

What - take it home photo/scan it then take it back!?!?

Either that or get it voided, if you can. Sure I've seen tickets with 'void' stamped on it, or do staff have to keep that ticket for records?

When voiding (non-issuing) you could put select "coupon too damaged" so that the machine non-issues without needing the original ticket.

However, depending on the TOC, some managers may think that a £999 non issue for a ticket that is missing is a bit dodgy...

I didn't know you could do that, always thought the ticket had to be kept for the records.
