But most people don't spend £99 on Virgin Value singles. I don't know about savers though.

Why don't you ask for a special "I don't need a seat" ticket, for half price? I remember seeing in the RAIL magazine a while ago, that when grand central was planning on doing trains, they would give a 50% refund to anyone who can't get a seat.

Cos if I can get a seat, i use it. Just a case of, if you don't think you'll get a seat, bring your own. Plus I was carrying the rucksack anyway, back in the doom days of notwork fail employment. lol
