Most cheerful conductor ever!

Today I was on the 15:11 Crosscountry service from Nottingham to Cardiff Central (I was on it to Derby) and the conductor was so happy & cheerful, he made everyone smile and for every ticket he checked he made a rhyme with it.
I wish I got his name because he was a really nice person and deserves praise.

I had the East Midlands Day Ranger and he said "Your not a stranger because you got a day ranger."

Very good, I would send an email to CrossCountry Customer Services for them to pass on. The Conductor supervisor will be able to see who was on which service, as long as you say which one it was (1511 off Nottingham)

I'm guessing from the rhyme comments this is the same guard that appeared on Michael Portillo's Great British Railway Journeys program last year, singing along as we went down the train!

In a similar vein, Arriva TW employ a very amusing trolley pilot (I've met him on the North Wales Coast) who chants such belters as "vipers blood, rats tails" etc in a Harry Potter stylie! He does a roaring trade!

I went on a Cross Country 170 from Brum to Leicester on Friday, and the guard (or Senior Conductor as I think their called on ex CT services) was none other than Freddie!
He's a really laid back carribean guy, makes some brilliant announcements on departure from stations like
"Good evening this is the 1609 Cross Country train to Leicester...Water Orton, Coleshill Parkway, Nuneaton, 'Inkleee, Narbaraaaaa and Leicester. Recap Water Orton, Coleshill Parkway, Nuneaton, 'Inkleee, Narbaraaaa and Leicester. Please rememeber Off Peak tickets from Birminghaaam stations are not valid on this train...but if you wish to stay on this train, you may pay me just a few extra pennies!! Recap this is the Leicester train, for Water Orton, Coleshill Parkway, Nuneaton, 'Inklee, Narbaraaa and Leicester, due into Leicester at 17:06...thats 6 Past 5 this evening. Leicester train."
