Morecambe Promenade Station

During its heyday this station had many excursions along with all the regular programmed schedules, notably at one time all the Irish express trains bound for Heysham. Right next door sat Morecambe Euston Road station with again both regular and excursion traffic. My question is where did they service and turn the locomotives. I know that Lancaster Green Ayre had a turntable and also did Carnforth. Either of these would entail use of what is now the WCML. Remembering the number of day excursions on occasions it must have been a nightmare servicing upwards of six engines and returning to Morecambe in time for return journeys.

Also locomotives could be turned on the Torrisholme triangle (the triangle linking the routes from Green Ayre to Heysham and Morecambe)

Note - running to Green Ayre from Morecambe would not involve a conflict with the WCML
