If you look very closely Spitfire do not get critisied that much online exept from the same chosen few yourself included who moan time after time after time about Spitfire. You can now stop wondering as you have now been supplied with the answer.I have taken on board what you have said and now understand that all other operators are innocent and should they encounter any problems they should be commended.If the same problems be encountered by Spitfire they should be slaughtered for it.Dream on. I should think Spitfire are absolutley Quaking in their boots that they will not be recieving your money.

Unsure what you're refering too regarding cut price hire fee?, we were paying the standard hire fee for last years effort? - We've never haggled with any loco owner regarding fees.

Perhaps you can elaborate for me/us forum readers where you have been wronged, with the innocent Spitfire routine.

As for other charter companies, no I have only ever done spitfire tours and yes im very sure that other comps have good coustomer service too

And on the Kyle tour I was, expecting something other than D1015 as that is always out on tours! Oh sorry I forgot, it's not about the traction and the engine, it's the sticky digits on the side that keep the frothing neds happy!

Shame you've missed the glory days of these engines. I mean that as well (not taking the p***). I'm really talking the early 80s (before 37/4s) when you could get a 37 on a service train the length and breadth of this country. Happy Days!

It's only the old paint that's holding the DBS ones together.Once they have their new paint jobs first sign of braking and the body will shoot off down the line

Anyway DRS or West Coast ones are pretty good and have not let Spitfire down yet. Can the same be said of the same be said of the DBS ones for other operators?

That last little bit was sarcastic, but yeah they are pretty reliable.
