Having looked at the other photo, I've long way to go, but all you can do is practice!

I've always found the most difficult thing about pan shots is actually finding somewhere to do them !!!

That's very true! So much of the network has been left to rot - trees and bushes growing up - so that you just can't find anywhere - photographic locations are dwindling all the time - not just undergrowth but also the barbaric prison bars too. Where I cut my teeth with trainspotting, Wantage Road, you can't get to anymore because NR are afraid someone will derail a train so they have erected acres of six foot high bars and for why? It's very sad that where I saw D1005 and D1048 one afternoon in 1976 would now be regarded as either trespassing, or more probably, terrorist activity.

It's symptomatic of the society we live in which is symptomatic of the way we are treated!
