Saw all of those in Exeter on Saturday. Looks weird to see FNW-liveried, Northern-branded 142s down in the South West! Got a few photos of them down there, will upload them by the end of the week.

hmm, not a massive fan of 158s :| and Northern are starting running to Nottingham next year so I'll be gettin their shoddy 158s too :sad11:

I like well kept class 158s, the arriva wales ones with new seats are ok.

The new northern refurbished ones are however not as comfortable, the seats are a bit too hard, you can't sit right in them and they are too low. This is my experience from when I sat in 158758 at Newton heath in September. Much prefered the ex-fnw 158s before refurbishment

The class 142 northern seating isn't much better. The miseryrail seating is too cramped while the bus seats haven't got a high enough back. this is where the ex-arriva trains northern units however excel!

Noooo!!! Stop Taking Away My Pacers!!
haha!

pacers arent bad little trains, however I think all train companies who own them need to give them a PROPER refurb...with mainly new and proper seats. not the type you would get on a bus!
anyone get where Im coming from?

Forgetting the ride quality, corporate image, 'crash ability' where the passengers are the crumple zones (basically im meaning build quality)
