Its been reported on social media by extremely reliable sources that 66954 is being exported to Freightliner Poland. 66954 currently undergoing conversion to polish spec.

This is rather odd considering Freightliner are gaining more work than losing it at present.

That is still dependant on how many spare locos FLL have even allowing for increased work.

At least FLL (and others) have the opportunity to build new compliant locos for continental use, so they can repatriate 66s if needed for UK work, something they cannot currently do with large locos given the restricted UK loading gauge.

Freightliner have a line of 6 or so stored 70s at Leeds with nothing to do. I doubt that a loco shortage is imminent for them.
