More DLS Problems

Hi all,

Once upon a time, by which I mean before I left Southend eight months ago, my brother and I used to download all sorts of random rubbish from the DLS for use with my copy of TRS2004. On my old desktop back home I had a Wickes store, a Class 416, various LUL-related objects, and more. But now... I can't find any of it. No this, no that... It makes my ambition to create my own city look laughable. What as happened to all of this older content? Has it been carelessly removed? Hidden? Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Some of it may not have been DLS stuff. You may have downloaded it from elsewhere and forgotten about it.
However, what version are you using now?
There are a few possible reasons;
It may be that it's not the right versions ticked to search on the DLS.
It could also be that you're not searching for quite the right thing - I have this problem quite often, because things are sometimes not named as you remember/expect them to be, so you may not find things you have before.
It's possible that it's just now hidden amongst other things, and you haven't spotted it, but it's more likely that you're just not searching for quite the right thing.
I had lots of content on 06 that I can't find anymore.

Current Version: Still 2004.
I can remember the names of a large majority of the downloads in question, and - apart from a few Thomas the Tank Engine things my brother downloaded, because it was amusing - we have only ever used the DLS. For instance, the Wickes one was named "DIY Superstore". If you do a search for that exact name, nothing comes up. Even "DIY" on its own brings up next to nothing. Further, I have tried searching through each version of the game on the list - right through to 2010 - and found almost nothing.

The content will still be there, it will probably just take a while to find it.

For the 415s, search 'EPB' on the DLS.
There is also a 415 and a 416 in the EMU section here

I have successfully found the Wickes store. I could not find it because it is listed as a "Service Pack 3" item, and - unlike SP4 - SP3 is not listed as an option!* :roll:

Now to download a whole series of city-related structures, from football pitches to Tesco stores, and - to use a cliché - let the imagination run wild...

*And yes, I know how silly this sounds.

Yes, when seraching you need to tick the boxes for all previous versions to get all the content.
