Hello everyone,

I now have to make a trip from Moor Park tube station to Chesham tube station on a weekly basis. After going on the website, I've found out I have to change at Chalfont & Latimer station, which is fine. However, I've seen that the changeover times are quite slim, sometimes only a few minutes to change, would anyone know how complicated the changeover is? I'm not familiar with these stations so I wouldn't know, I just don't want to arrive at Chalfont & Latimer station only to find myself in a maze, and to find I only have a matter of minutes till the train departs, especially if the train from Moor Park tube station is late, which means I could miss the connection altogether.

If someone could please put me in the light of how simple the changeover is in both the outward and return journey, that would be great.

Thank you for your time,
Stevj016.

You should be able to make it if trains run ontime :)

Through trains to central London from Chesham only run in peak periods, although this is to change from 2011 with all services becoming through trains: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/media/newscentre/archive/11185.aspx

During the day the connection time is around 4 mins - given the journey Chalfont/Latimer to Chesham only takes 9 mins I doubt they'd make the timetable as it is if it wasn't possible to make the connection. Although if you want you could take the train 10 min earlier - I don't know if they'd hold the Chesham train.

The station at Chalfont/Latimer has three platforms with the Chesham shuttle departing platf 3 (the Amersham train comes into platf 1) so you'll need to cross over. Through trains to Chesham continue on platf 1 I believe.

I live in Chesham, I often use the shuttle. Drivers will wait for people to get on the train from the london connection even if the signal is clear.
