Hi everyone,

I'm currently having a bit of trouble finding out what issues of Modern Railway Magazine had the Fold out (blown up) versions of the Rail Atlas maps and I'm looking to buy the back issues of those to be get the maps.

Currently I have found May 2012, which has Birmingham and Nottingham in detail, and July 2013 has London in detail.

I know a Cumbrian extract got published but not sure of the issue number.

Does anyone on here know what other map extracts got published and what issues they were in? Or any other magazines that had similar maps and their issues?

Thank you very much for your help.

I've found no less than eight maps on my bookshelves that have been inserts from Modern Railways: six have come from Baker's Rail Atlas; one (and a half) from London Railway Atlas; and one that seems to have a connection with the Rail Delivery Group - Railway Political Map 2015.

The areas covered are (in no particular order):

1. Greater Manchester (one side), W. Yorkshire (the other side).
2. West Midlands (one side), East Midlands (the other side).
3. Railway Political Map 2015, whole of GB (not Northern Ireland) coloured by parliamentary constituencies. Single sided.
4. West Midlands (one side), East Midlands (the other side).
5. Central London (one side) - London Railway Atlas 3rd edition, Greater London (other side) - Baker's.
6. Greater London single sided.
7. Central London single sided - London Rail Atlas 4th edition extract.
8. Greater Manchester (one side), West Yorkshire (the other side).

I think this is probably the full set issued -although I haven't got a map you alluded to showing Cumbria-, as I always buy Modern Railways, but sorry I'm not much help with dates.
