Model Railway Exhibition at Ally Pally

Well, today was a day for me going to Ally Pally for the Model Railway Exhibition, I saw the Hornby layouts, I got the Hornby Step-by-Step Guide to Railway Modelling and controlled a Digital layout. That was a really good day for me.

The stands I went to were The Signal Box in Rochester, the East Kent Models where I got that guide to railway modelling, the Hornby stand and the UKTS Stand.

I thought it was quite good as usual, just let down by the fact there were more trade stands than [modern image] layouts, and the expensive catering! But, for the Modern Image layouts, the best one there was "Coppell", a fictional part of the WCML set in the late 80s/early 90s, and to put the icing on the cake, most of the locos had DCC sound :d

When i was passing the video 125 stand, i bumped into David Maxey of all people, and when i spoke to him, he was plugging the latest Visions international production

Saw posters in and around the place, advertising the national festival of railway modelling, to be held in October, in Peterborough! Sounds quite interesting lol

I went (cos it was free for me to get there and get in!) but I think £10 was quite steep for a show, and one that I didnt think much of!
