Just really a case of wondering.

How many of you are going to Model Rail Scotland this year? Since will be my first time to an actual big model railway event and also a bonus my Girlfriend is perfectly fine and wants to go to

Thank you, im sure we will do so. Was going to go last year, but was up the weekend before though.

But shall be looking out for things to get as a want to do a project, so if i do get anything will be fun taking it back on a Voyager :P

We shall be going on the Sunday anyway. Also gladly the Service from Armadale is very quick and frequent and the walk from Queen street to Central isn't bad.

Im in Scotland that very weekend for the Scotland v France match. Thats on the Sunday, so might take the chance to go on the Friday or the Saturday.

Then a convoluted rail journey back on Saturday equipped with suitable refreshments!!

Almost the big weekend and really looking forward to the show as I was down with the flu this week and worrying I wouldn't make it. Thankfully I'm feeling much better and know I will be there. Looks like it's going to be a good one and with two halls being utilised I'm hoping there'll be a bit more space to move around than usual!

Like wise im looking quite forward to it as well, and also will be another outing with my DSLR as well what is good for me. For buying things i shall wait and see, and the same for my girlfriend, as she is using going to Model Rail as to see if to get me anything for my Birthday.

I was considering going, but now it seems I don't have the money to get up there, maybe next year. (it would have been nice if they could have mentioned that the station for the SECC is called Exhibition Centre though (even the SECC website fails to mention it!)

I think that ScotRail ticket sellers are used to being asked for tickets to SECC!

I'm sure it's like the NIA/NEC at Birmingham, but websites do have an issue with it.

For those who went did you enjoy yourselfs and any fav layouts at all?

Also did anyone buy any goodies?

I myself got a NCE power cab for a project i want to start, a Centro Class 150/1 and a decoder for it as well.

Really enjoyed the show this year, the two halls really opened things up this year and I managed to get close to a few layouts for a change. Also the general hygiene of attendees was much improved lol! Although there was a lot on thr trade stands I would've liked I behaved and only bought a couple of books. The layout of the show for me was Rowlands Castle a fantastic wartime layout just oozing atmosphere!

track connecting wires from Simon Kohler after i spoke to him
dcc power track
and other things like leaflets etc
