Have recently purchased a couple of the above, those representing locos in post BR industrial service. I suspect there are not too many rail enthusiasts still around today who both knew and had an interest in the class 11's in their post BR days (I will stand corrected on that point), but being in my very young years when the last of them was withdrawn from BR, my only introduction to them was via a second hand copy of the Industrial Railway Society's EL1 publication just after the real things had been withdrawn. Over many years I went to look out these loco's and the two (industrial) versions of these class 11's I came across (thankfully just before their industrial service ended) in 1985.
So I would just like to put on record my thanks to Model Rail for their faith in reproducing these locos in model form, even if they are of limited interest today. I will be back for more!

of years ago! For the observant amongst you the Widdrington loco is the sister loco of that modelled by Model Rail, the prototype being partially dismantled further down the yard at the time of my visit.
