Mobile phones mounted in electric bus cabs

I have seen mobile phones mounted inside electric bus cabs, e.g. BYD ADL Enviro 200EV, near the driver's left leg. Do these mobile phones belong to the driver, or are they part of the bus e.g. for remote monitoring or for the ticket machine?

They could be Go Check devices, used by some operators instead of needing to complete a defect card.
