Hi guys,
Looking for anyone who is tech savvy when it comes to mobile phones. I currently have a Pay As You Go (PAYG) sim with EE but I'm wanting to trial a move to Three as they offer unlimited data and I am looking at ways of removing the need to spend money on broadband. I have requested that EE unlock my phone and once this is done I will probably either go PAYG or sim only rolling with Three so that I can check what their 4g is like before committing to anything more long term but I want to take my mobile number with me.
However, I believe this can take a few days to transfer meaning I would be without my number for a couple of days. I'm currently job hunting and have my number with numerous agencies as well as being on my CV and having applied for plenty of jobs over the last few days I'm worried that I may miss an important call.
So basically my question is this; once I've signed up to Three, sorted my PAC code with them and got them to arrange the transfer can I continue to use my EE PAYG sim with my current number until the transfer is complete and then simply swap the sim cards over so there is no period where I can't use my number?
