MMI - GTR gillingham depot

Hello
I had my MMI for trainee train driver on the friday 24th Feb , so nearly 2 weeks ago . The woman who I had the interview with told me someone would contract me by the Friday the week after and if not to ring them . So I rang them as no one had contact me and the woman who I needed to speak to was off and I left my number and name . I rang on Monday at the end of the day and was told the woman was in a meeting this time and again took my name and number but still haven't heard anything
Was just wondering if anyone had anything like this before ? And
How long have people waited for they MMI result ?

Just out of interest, have you had your DMI yet and if so how long did it take them to contact you after?

Yes you have a your DM interview first and they accuratly contract me on the same day as the interview saying I'd passed ! Which is rare for any job to ring you on the same day

I just waited for a few days for the result of my MMI with Thameslink (unsuccessful). They sent me an email. You have to chase them. Go to their website, log in where you completed your application and send them an email from there.

It sounds a bit strange they haven't yet contacted you. Don't be shy though, keep trying. Anyway, in HR they should know about customer service skills:)

I wouldn't be surprised if it slipped somebody's mind.

I'm one stage behind you in the recruitment process, but this lack of response (or even acknowledgment) sounds awfully similar to my experience with GTR so far:
Completed my DMI on 25/01 and told around 4 days for result (actually took 9 days to find out that I'd been successful); agreed upon 06/03 as MMI date at Croydon.
I received no email to confirm this date, so attempted to contact HR via email and phone around 7 times over the 2 weeks leading up to the date, only to be told the person dealing with it had failed to book me in at all!
I have heard nothing since then, but have been offered an MMI date (actually booked and confirmed this time!) with Abellio, so hopefully I can pass both the MMI and DMI with them!

It took them 3 weeks to tell me I had passed my dmi and have my mmi next week back at Croydon. hopefully pass that then just a medical.

All being well I think they need to start training people for Gillingham asap due to the time it takes to learn everything.

GTR seem to be all over the place! :-x:roll::cry:
I had my DMI on the 21 Feb and have heard nothing, another guy who went on the same day heard on 6th March (about 11 days)
You heard in 9 days
dknight05 heard the same day
I'm hoping no news is good news and also hoping that as I've passed an MMI with another TOC they don't need to contact me yet! :grin:

edit: I did email them tonight and asked if they had any info, couldn't hold out any longer!

Yeah mate not fair to leave you hanging on, you and me went to the same dmi so they should have no excuse letting you know later than me.

Seems like it's everyone they leave hanging then , shame but I understand how many people they are trying to recruit and the moment , so can't be easy , just annoying for us lot :)

Very sensible of you what you said. I do think people in HR at TL in Croydon must have been pulling their hair out in the past 6-7 months. They may even be understaffed, who knows.

Took 3 weeks for an answer for my DMI and then went and had my MMI and was told within an hour that I had passed. With southern at Croydon so though the process would be the same

At last, finally got the call and have passed the DMI. Only medical to go!
Strange thing, I applied for Gillingham vacancy and have now been told no places left.
Was then offered Orpington (didn't know there were vacancies) but immediately told I couldn't have medical in time so have now been told it is Ashford!
Who knows :)

No mate. I had already passed the assessment and MMI stage 2 years ago with Southeastern. I just had to sit the DFFT and the DMI.
One thing I can say is, the DMI was brilliant compared to SWT. Really made to feel at ease and the 2 managers seemed to get the best out of me by just being 'humans' and not appearing like humourless robotic interrogators :lol:
To say I'm pleased is quite and understatement :D except it would appear there are no more vacancies at Gillingham!

Yep am a little worried as its only 15 mins from me, at least Ashford is only 30 mins away and probably a nicer station to work out off.
