I don’t know if it counts, as the public don’t usually have access it, and because it’s a sleeper mk3 rather than the conventional mk3 used in HSTs, but we have a sleeper mk3 in Intercity livery at Avon Valley Railway in our Bitton yard.

It's used for accommodation for our volunteers. I don’t know its number off by heart, but I could have a look this weekend while I’m down.

It's 10555, I think? I've slept in it when it was still in mainline service. :)

Quite possibly could be but I’ll make sure to have a look Saturday. Do you have any idea of when it could’ve been taken out of service? The paint on the outside if faded but the inside is kept immaculate with even the maps and posters still there!

If 10555, then it was a refurbished vehicle in the West Coast pool at the start of 1993, but was one of those stored at MoD Kineton by the start of 1998, suggesting that it may have been withdrawn round about the time of the pre-privatisation sleeper network consolidation circa mid-1995.

Checked my notes more closely... while I have ridden it, I haven't slept in it ( I add an extra note for that ); that makes me suspect it was mainly a NE-SW vehicle; I picked a lot of those up between Bristol Parkway and Bristol Temple Meads when that service still ran.
