Missing Trains

Not sure what is happening to the 8.01 Paris today. Real Trains Times says it is at platform for an on time departure.

It is not at the platform. There is only one train in the station and that is my 8.16 Amsterdam.

Eurostar are going through the the lounge asking for tickets on 8.01 to Paris. People seem to be getting a voucher for unreversed seating in another coach. The voucher says E300 > E320. Unfortunately at the moment there is no E anything other than Amsterdam.

So far all fine for my 8.16 to Amsterdam. My first time on this route.

Eurostar claim it's delayed by 15 minutes. The 8:16 to Amsterdam is supposed to be on time. Are they cramming all people into one train?

The 8.16 to Amsterdam departed about on time but was held just after the platform before the CTRL. A non Eurostar train passed by us in the other direction. We are currently about six minutes late.

Some of the Brussels passengers will have about a minute to make a connection to Cologne. They have been given HOTNAT paperwork. Apparently the driver is going to try to make up as much time as possible. Not sure how.

Not sure what happened to the Paris passengers. I hope they eventually got away. I did wonder if they would try to merge the 8.01 and 9.01 but probably not enough seats.

ES may have a relatively slack schedule and be able to easily make up ten minutes.

The 8:16 from London arrived in Brussels at 11:13+13. The 11:25 Eurostar to Cologne was late and left Brussels at 11:30. Still tight though.
ICE 315 (Brussel dep. 12:25) only runs from Liège (expected departure 13:13+24) because ICE 316 didn't make it to Brussels (expected Liège 10:43+132).
The 9:01 from London is delayed by over 2 hours... no idea why.

We passed a stopped Eurostar just after St Pancras on HS1. Even the train crew remarked on it. According to South Eastern it has broken down. They are using one line (outbound I think) for all trains on HS1. That would explain why we were delayed a few minutes for the South Eastern train in the other direction.

This is causing problems for Eurostar and South Eastern. We (on the 8.16 Amsterdam) must have been lucky to sneak out.

It would also explain why there were no other Eurostars at platforms. Presumably stuck at the depot.

Also as we left St Pancras I could see all the security lanes were empty presumably they did not want to overcrowd the lounge more than necessary.

Time was not made up by Brussels. We are still only ten minutes late out of Rotterdam but forecast for twenty by Amsterdam. Good luck really. I am grateful.

I am sorry for all those traveller delayed.

They told some passengers to move to coach 7 or 8 and use the mid platform underpass. I thought that was permanently closed. Perhaps not from the through platform Eurostar use at Brussels.

The problems on HS1 is a broken down Eurostar train at the St Pancras end. We waited just beyond the platforms. Not sure if this cause EMR problems.
