Yet on the Sunday service, does stop there at 14.13 as does the 13.43 ex Edin., which is more of a stopper to KX, so they arrive only 13 mins apart.Does anyone know why the weekday LNER service from Inverness does not stop at Berwick resulting in no direct service to London at 1212? It interrupts an otherwise hourly service to London.
Is that perhaps to compensate for the 14:30 ex-Edinburgh (~11:50 ex-Aberdeen) stopping at Newcastle and York only?Yet on the Sunday service, does stop there at 14.13 as does the 13.43 ex Edin., which is more of a stopper to KX, so they arrive only 13 mins apart.

Is it therefore possible that they’ve just continued to leave the stop out to make it seem more of a flagship service? The times at Edinburgh and Newcastle look similar to, or the same as, other services.Back when the timetable was implemented they were not sure if HSTs could keep time. Trains booked as HSTs skipped Berwick-on-Tweed or had non standard departures (such as 0626).
Over the years stops were added to these missing hours. Other diagrams that were mk4s became HSTs.
Your question is still valid why is that gap still not filled, but that is how the gaps appeared.

I wonder if any representation has been made to LNER to add to the timetable. Is there a specific process to offer suggestions to ROC’s?could also be loadings. It often leaves Edinburgh full. (But so do the ex-Aberdeen services)
In the Track Access Application the hourly Berwick calls all appear to be in the semifast Edinburgh/Kings Cross services, the fasts (which include the Aberdeen/Inverness extensions), are all none stop Berwick. Not set in stone yet, but that’s presumably what they’re currently planning for.To be honest. I can’t see it happening now. I suspect the 2021 timetable we see it go to full hourly when it is recast and the majority of the planners time will be on that. But equally it is just a stop so how hard can it be. (Leaves matches)
