Misleading/Erroneous engineering work info on NRE

We'll set aside the fact that engineering works have appeared in the Basingstoke area within the six week booking window and concentrate on the wonky information on NRE.

According to NRE tomorrow the line between Basingstoke and Reading West is closed.

Some Southampton - Waterloo trains will start at Winchester - fair enough.

Some Exeter trains will stop short at Andover.

The reality:

It appears that actually the whole South Western main line between Basingstoke and Woking is closed - not that there's any mention of it on the engineering work section.

Does NR actually know what it plans to be doing, and if so, wouldn't it be nice of them to tell someone.

This is correct. There is a possession at Southcote Junction - it's been known about for several months.

The engineering works text is now accurate but the headline isn't.

The headline could do with being accurate. However I get the impression that NRE isn't kept as up to date as it should be.
