57823 + 52829 running coupled on the 1330 Manchester - South Wales last Saturday (10th). What's going on here then?

In my experience MN sets are rarely chopped about.

Can't give you the full reply but 823 was involved in a collision with a Tractor near Welshpool last July and was taken to Barton Hill for repairs to the damaged coach. They returned to Canton by road some weeks ago so assumed it would have been reformed normally.

Only 57823 returned to Canton, 52823 is at Kilmarnock for continuation of repairs.
