The majority of other passengers I encounter are generally miserable folk - I travel peak and off peak, some weekends, its worse when travelling out of Manchester Piccadilly at peak hours when there's delays.! People in the morning always seem knackered, when I accidentally pulled my earphones out my computer and 2 seconds of loud music were heard, the guy next to me almost $h!t himself, I had expected to be berate loudly. I was also the victim of being on 2 car EMT from Chinley to Warrington on Monday, 0803 service was short formed 2 car short! I just got on and squeezed myself down the aisle, when I still could barely move my feet at Manchester Picc, I was asked to move by passengers, despite the fact unless I spantaneously combusted on the spot, I couldn't move anywhere!
People in the evening just want to get home without delays and late platform changes. Last week when I kindly explained to a woman complaining at some random guy in a Northern Rail jacket about delays and not getting the correct response, what the actual delay was (signalling problems down at Hunts X last Thursday) she tutted and said they just make it up!
Commuters are a miserable bunch, for the crime of sitting in an empty luggage rack on a 156 this evening (no seats and I wanted to be out of the aisle) I was stared at by about 20 people for the 15 minutes I was there, one guy shaking his head.
