I'm looking at the worksite now, trial piling is a good shout.
The exact shape the "new" station will take hasn't been finalised yet, early plans suggested two side platforms on what will be the slow lines, but I've also heard that the existing island will remain (possibly reshaped slightly) with the staircase turned into an accessible ramp. This would make more sense to me than having to provide multiple ramps to a footbridge linking two platforms. The "jolt" that you feel on up fast services passing P2 won't be a problem when only stopping trains will use that track.
