Hi, first time post, I was wondering if anyone here could give me some general advice about a computer for running a train simulator ? I'm considering buying a core 2 duo Pentium 2.8 gig with a 500 mb 3d graphics card, and 1 gig of RAM. What would be a good choice of graphics card ? as I don't want to end up with the all to familiar "jerky graphics" That's it really, can anyone help ? or do I need to look at a more powerful computer generally ?

Thanks,

Tony.

that should be fine - for the record, AFAIK, the minimum req. for OS is:
Windows 98, 2000, Mellenium, XP on SP1 (Windows Vista req. tweaking - except BVE5)

Thanks, Sulzer, I just wanted to get a ball-park idea as to what was suitable, I'll just stick to my original plan then and let you know how I get on !

Thanks,

Tony.

BVE won't work with Vista if you have separate graphics - it may not work with XP if it is the latest Nvidia card.

Actually you can run Bve on Vista with a seperate card. Any card's that use's DX10 wont work. I've got a freind running Vista and can run BVE4 fine, He has a 7600GT
