Milton Keynes season ticket split points?

This must have come up before but I can't find it..
Is there any way to get the price of this down (other than the normal buy 5 weeks at a time / annually?
(For someone working office hours, not entitled to any Railcards, and on short-term contracts).


Milton Keynes Central (MKC) to London Travelcard Zones 1-6

The person (not me) only goes to Liverpool Street.

Not splitting advice, but do they drive to the station? If so Bletchley is a fair whack cheaper, as is the parking (in exchange for a slightly slower service but in my view a more civilised experience than the MKC rat race).

Expanding on what @Bletchleyite has said a ticket from Bedford to London Thameslink is valid via Bletchley. While more expensive than a Bletchley ticket it will be cheaper than a Bletchley - London Zones 1-6 season (I’m out and about at the moment so can’t check).

Upon arrival at Euston walk to St Pancras and take a Thameslink train to Farringdon, City Thameslink or Blackfriars. Ok they’re not Liverpool Street but they won’t be far away.

Note this suggestion only works with a season, not day tickets.

It would help to know the actual destination.
If Liverpool Street is really a more suitable station than Farringdon, Moorgate or Barbican then that suggests that they are heading for the eastern fringes of The City a long walk from a Thameslink station.
