Hi all.
Could someone check the ticket restricton code for an off peak return (valid for a month so guess it was the old Saver) from MKC to WIC for me please. I also have a normal Network Railcard (it comes up as £21.10 so you get the right one!)
Both the the OJP & Virgin Trains site tell me that I can use use 18:43 from Euston, despite all the posters at there saying that off peak tickets are only valid from 18:46 onwards (although these don't mention MKC in the list of restricted destinations...)
I queried this with the enquiry desk in the ticket office & they said it wasn't valid but as there was a 'website' error telling me it was & they stamped my ticket to allow me on.
In the end, I didn't get checked either entering the platform or on the train (despite several rather stern announcements from the TM saying that NO Off Peak tickets are valid etc etc etc)
I had been worried after reading the various tales of the intransigence of the staff at Euston, but the chap at the desk was very helpful, if a little stressed by the Friday afternoon rush of "I've lost my ticket but I have the confirmation email" merchants...
Oh, and a stonking run up to Brum by 90041 too. Another one ticked off the list!
Cheers.
