Milton Keynes Central [MKC] - Bristol [BRI]

Morning,

I am after some advice. I have a ticket form MKC-To Bristol for today. It is a super off peak return, route "+any permitted with a cross"

Clearly I have to go to Euston, then to Paddington, but where can i go from there? I am not time restrcited and dont really fancy the fast route Reading-swindon-chippenham-bath-bristol

Any advice greatly appreciated. Only ever been through Paddington once and every trip to Bristol has been by XC

How about:

Paddington - Reading - Westbury - Bristol
Waterloo - Salisbury - Bristol

Perhaps via Cheltenham would be valid too, not checked the RG though. No, it's not.

That ticket is also valid via Birmingham should you so wish

Other variations - Waterloo - Reading

Reading - Basingstoke - Salisbury

I don't think there is anything worthy of revelation from London, but Victoria/Waterloo-Clapham-Basingstoke-Westbury-Bath-Bristol and Paddington/Waterloo-Reading-Didcot-Bristol and pretty much anything in between is fine. Cheltenham is not along a mapped route.

How about:
Paddington - Reading - Westbury - Bristol

You could get to Westbury via an interesting route, if you like, for example via Surbiton, Basingstoke and Salisbury.

Or go to Reading via Staines and Wokingham.

Or, avoid London altogether and go via Birmingham (although I suspect you want to go through London)
