Location
Near where the 3 ridings meet
According to Google the postcode is L20 5DG
And the result puts an arrow on the A566 bridge over the railway midway between Seaforth Stn and Bootle New Strand.

There may be more info available in John Gahan's book Seaport to Seaside.
Which I will dig out in a minute.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
On p28 2nd para
gives a description of a journey along the line.
At the junction where the Southport line diverges from the Wigan and Preston lines, around the curve, passing, on the right a small engine shed, and shortly after passing under Bank Hall Lane bridge, draws up at the small station of MILLERS BRIDGE
To me this is the location of the current Bank Hall station.
The info I posted earlier re the postcode appears to be wrong but not too far away.
The name Millers Bridge is more readily associated with a bridge over the Leeds Liverpool Canal nearby

According to John Marshall's History of the L&YR, Miller's Bridge station was 2½ miles from Liverpool (Tithebarn St.); a new station (now known as Bootle Oriel Road) replaced Miller's Bridge & Bootle Village (3 miles) stations in 1876. Bankhall (as it was initially called) was opened in 1870, 2¼ miles from Tithebarn St. Whilst mileages quoted in timetables may not be totally accurate, the figures suggest that Miller's Bridge station lay somewhere near the current Bootle Junction, just south of the Millers Bridge overbridge. The Bootle Village (later renamed Bootle) station was presumably somewhere between the present Oriel Road & New Strand stations. New Strand was formerly called Marsh Lane, at 3½ miles from Tithebarn St.

Location
A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
See http://maps.nls.uk/view/102344096. The station was immediately on the south side of Baliol Road (now the A5058), the buildings on the east side of the line.

I am most grateful for the trouble you have taken to submit this link, as not only does it give the opportunity for detail enlargement of the Miller's Bridge railway station site location, but I am also using it for my research into all the dock areas.
