Hi all.

As an extension is being done to my house over the coming months, I've got some space for a model railway. I've chosen to use Miller Street from the BVE route, NWM. Below is an image of what it's supposidly going to look like. the black dots resemble signals before you ask.

I'm hoping to use traction wise: 150, 153, 156, 158, 170, 221 for multiple units. 20, 37, 40 (railtour), 43, 47, 50 (railtour), 56, 57, 60, 66. It'll probably cost a lot of money unless some of you are generous about giving old rolling stock away for a low price (ha!)

I'll update this thread with progress when it comes

I love it!

Now there would be a first - basing a model railway layout upon a fictional BVE route. Please keep us posted, Mike, with photos of your model compared to the "real" thing...

Regards,
Al. :D

It's not fictional, Miller Street is based on Stourbridge Junction ;)

Still, it should be good when it's done :)

I do know that Miller Street is based on Stourbridge Junc. Cheers. At least a few people aren't such a critic when it comes to realism

I'm still waiting to start mine, a Small MPD, but it's taking forever... no realism in that, I made the plan out of my head!!

I may make something suitable for my pacer.

Other plans were to model Wansford TMD from the tunnel to just beyond the Nene Bridge, or if there was a building big enough, model the whole thing. It would only be like 200m long!

LOL, I only just noticed that! Which is odd as I was signalman there for 7 years.. I blame too many late shifts. You could put the double track back on the branch. Although it used to be two seperate lines (Up & down pass & Up & down goods.). Also put the leads in at the station end stop block like it was.

Get a hymek running through on 6 wheeled milk tanks and a 2800 pulling out of the yard and bobs your uncle :)

Oh, and don't forget the bog cart on the town 'flyer' ;)

Although it would be hilarious to see you modelling Shane. Too much time placing grass, cones and trolleys in 'train death alley' to actually run any trains ;)
