So are 47's too heavy for the line then :-? What diesel would be ok with the whole line?
They might leave the lamp there :roll: What have they done to that 101 they painted it all over not just one part

That DMU is just used for spares and I would say it is beyond repair. For your information 47715 was sat on the North siding (opposite platform) with 4 'Dogfish' and the 20T brake van. The 'Dogfish' were loaded. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera but I need photos for this:

And as the 'Salmon', 'Flatrol', 'Lowmac', Mess Van, 'Shark' & 'Dogfish' are in theyard/stn. I will call tonight to get some more pics that I can add here. One should also show 47715 on the ballast train
As for locomotives that would be acceptable for regular service classes 03, 08, 09 & 20 are all reasonably light with 80105 (steam) being not too bad. If a class 20 were to come it would probably be permitted to run every day on account of track stresses but due to half the trip being made 'nose first'

More crew would be required making this prohibitive. The added time to run round at Redmire would also severely alter timetabling arrangements.
I'm off to London tomorrow with school but I will try and add the piccies tonight however I also have a meeting about my school trip to Iceland later in March.
