My mileage for the final quarter of 2016 is 7594. Most of October's mileage of 4541 was made up of my big birthday bashing trip which bagged me 2750 miles. A meeting in London the following week saw me bag an additional 950 miles, with a conference in Manchester at the end of the month had me getting another 751 miles in the bag as I tied in a Cheshire Day Ranger into my trip.
November saw me get 1364 miles in the bag, with most of the mileages coming from doing some bits and pieces in the West Riding of Yorkshire and the West Midlands. Both of these in total came to 1296 miles.
December had me on 1689 miles, with this mainly coming from a weekend meeting in London at the start of the month, and the remainder coming from the festive period when visiting my mum. I also did some bits and pieces in the West Midlands before heading back north.
This brings me to 27005 miles for 2016, compared to 18077 for 2015. It is noted that the big jump can be attributed to August when I did the Freedom of Severn and Solent Rover, where I had the 8 from 15 days version, and went back for some second helpings the following week. Also, there was my big birthday bash in October as well which played a part in the big mileage jump.
A question I ask myself: How can I equal 2016's final mileage in 2017? This would be a very big ask of me, but I would be happy to have 20000 miles in the bag at the end of 2017.
