I expect to have an update soon, not a big one but will probably do it after Monday's trip, wherever that'll be to!

Which reminds me, does anyone have the mileage for Ebbw Vale Town to Ebbw Vale Parkway?

After a rather pathetic June (only 238m 25ch), I'm now on 4881m 62ch. July and August are looking to be much better.

I'll have half-time mileage figures (well not 100% accurate yet) soon. I've not got a very good July ahead of me, the last 4 days of the month will make up for it though! Most of August is lined up to be quiet too, first 3 days busy then quiet until the end of the month. September is looking to be quiet mileage wise but a little different at least!

Looking forward to the rip reports :)

I'll be adding about 700 miles in the next 2 weeks :D

Nice, very nice! I'm giving up some of my available slots for trips this month, too much work on so sacrificing the next two Mondays (my usual bashing days are always Mondays) to get it done. It all helps pay for #10thbasherversary, so it's all good.

My RM has expired so I can't even see what I've got at all on there currently. I'm rather hoping to get in touch with Mr Cairns later and get it renewed, if I don't get busy planning my European bash again!

A very slow start to the month due to the fact I could hardly walk for the first 10 days of the month and having to cancel my first 2 bashes. Fortunately I managed to reschedule and fit in both alongside having had a couple of days up north to get the Cumbrian 37's and cleared a heap of track in the Lancashire area.

So my mileage for June comes out at 2236 with a 6 months total of a respectable 14112 (excluding light rail as I keep forgetting to record LUL and I'm too lazy to work out the conversions on the others).

Things will quieten down in July with no planned days out and a 3 week holiday with the Mrs, fortunately mostly by rail so I should get a minimum of around 850miles and might just hit 4 figures.

August I hope will be looking a lot better though, having taken advantage of Virgins seat sale

Does anyone know what the mileage is between Stratford-Upon-Avon and Stratford Parkway? Strangely it isn't on Railmiles.

Thanks!

I could do with Ebbw Vale Parkway to Ebbw Vale Town mileage :)

I've not done that bit yet (hoping to do the branch next month) so don't have a record yet, although the network rail press release at the opening lists it as "approximately 1.5m"

Official figure for Ebbw Vale Parkway to Ebbw Vale Town according to the Network Rail western sectional appendix is 1m32ch.

Feels much longer than that! Granted, coming out of Parkway heading to Town the gradient marker does indicate a 1 in 52 climb, how long for I don't know.

Many thanks for the mileage figures, once I get my RM back online I'll be getting that sorted!

1242 miles added in July, more than anticipated, taking my running total up to 15354

August could be a bumper month with 8 days planned out on the rails so could well come close to overtaking last years total of 18469

Been meaning to ask this: On the Spa Valley Railway, what is the distance from Eridge to Tunbridge Wells West, and is it the same in reverse?

Thanks :)

At the end of July, I sat on 7383 miles 27 chains. A day out on Saturday 1 August has now moved me to 7511 miles 43 chains :D

A 575-mile round trip last weekend and a near thousand mile trip the weekend before lifts me into the top 10 (a personal result) with 8,900 miles. An ambitious target would be 15,000 miles by the end of the year, but even with trips planned most weekends this month and a couple of longer trips, I'm not sure if I'll do it or not...

I know I'm falling down the league table a lot, without a doubt, but until I sort out my RM subscription I cannot give a total yet.

Indeed, if I am unsuccessful in renewing my subscription I will be starting on a spreadsheet of my own. That's a daunting task when you realise it would have to cover almost 12 years...
