Hi!

Hope you don't mind a late entrant!

Sadly due to various things going on I haven't been able to get out and about as much as I would like to have done. So if it is permitted I would like to add a couple of days that have been done this year to kick me off (that I have actually kept a record of. (There have been a fair few days of commuting that I have done but I can't remember how many and so it would probably be unfair to guess).

I am pretty sure that I stand about zero chance of winning this but I guess I am curious as to how far I really travel by train (not including work obviously).

My previous trips out are:

3rd March 2011

09:54 Newbury to Reading
10:33 Reading to Plymouth
13:43 Plymouth to Newton Abbott
14:33 Newton Abbott to Reading
17:04 Reading to Newbury

Total Miles: 415 Miles 10 Chains

8th March 2011

10:54 Newbury to Reading
11:27 Reading to Bristol Temple Meads
12:54 Bristol Temple Meads to Taunton (via WSM)
15:23 Taunton to Newbury (via Frome and Westbury)

Total Miles: 236 Miles 10 Chains

So providing I have worked that all out right my grand total so far is: 651 miles and 20 chains.

I am disappointed to say my run of 105 consecutive days in which I have used a train has unfortunately been broken. I haven't been on one since Friday evening!

Just updated mine after a trip to Newquay and back. Now on 1131.

Planning a trip in the next day or two to get in the Severn Beach Line and Bristol - Weymouth in (haven't done eithier yet). Should add a few more miles.

I nearly have enough points on my bahncard to qualify for a free DB all-Germany day-ticket. Haven't worked out the route yet, but will include Munich, Cologne, Berlin & Hamburg amongst others

Well after a long weekend in Southampton area plus my first complete rail tour (Heart of Wales Rambler) i have cleared 10,000 so far this year. Only 5k off last years total (although i started in May last year)!

Gotta update this... been far too long. I've got the Last Blue Train, Preston-London-Birmingham-Worcester-Wolves-Preston and Preston-London-Temple Meads and back all to do. Should have the next batch of data in tomorrow!

Just done a much needed update; back in the lead at the moment - but I doubt for long.

After a mad start to the year, I have slowed up quite a lot in the last six weeks but that will change very shortly

Just updated my mileage after the weekend.

Doubled Voyager length and more then doubled class 334 length.
Also added 318 haulage, and a new route being Armadale - Glasgow Queen Streat & Glasgow Central - Exhibtion Center.

Also very of topic, when traveling between Queen street and Armadale, when we went through Shettleston i spotted a lot of left wagons being, TTA's, OCA's, 16ton Box & open top vans, and a few more, and reason of them being left their?

Can't say I can fulfill the two above requests; sorry guys!

My total now stands at 2,696. My projection for Tuesday is, at present, 2,905; this is set to come after conquering the Swansea District with a certain parcel delivery worker from a certain part of Yorkshire.

After totting up my return home: I stand at, 1263 miles and 1822 chains.

I am not combining chains into my mileage to get a more accurate figure at the end of the year.

Railtour, two FOSW and virgin putting all these freightliner 90's on and a few trips to london mostly for me.
