I just wondered what sort of life the person had when they were doing 100 miles each hour 24/7.

As the sig says, I got to Cheltenham via Milton Keynes on Saturday. I'm not out today, but plan to go to either Glasgow and the North Clyde area or London, HS1 and the Midland Mainline on Tuesday, and London, the Greenford PSUL thing (Paddington-High Wycombe), Heathrow Aiport T5 and Camden Rd-Stratford. Cool :D

Don't you want to do Primrose Hill? You'll need to do South Hampstead - Camden Road if you want to get that.

Already done. Crossover or something at Cammy, I'll check.

To add to mileage list:
Monday: Preston to London via Bristol TM and back via the WCML, maybe a HS1 run out too, or Preston-Edinburgh, along the ECML, to either London and back to Preston, or to York and a bash around Yorkshire... Cool. Looking at 1800 miles or so this week.

Well I completed my FONW last week and I loved it. A lot of new route for me in that area. I was the missus so it wasn't massively high mileage. We were staying in Carlisle and visited Chester, Windermere, Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool and Leeds. Managed 2283 miles (included getting there via London from Plymouth as it was cheaper and we saw my sister).

Highlights were Cumbrian Coast and the WCML between Carlisle and Lancaster! Stunning. But the winning line on the trip by far was Settle - Carlisle, especially as there had been overnight snow and still snowing as we did it!

I have altered mine to include each class (but not unit; I haven't got a clue aany all year except for those on Saturday, and then I'd need Jordy's help...), TOC and accommodation, and thus far my most prominent example, not too surprisingly, is LM 350 STD. Interestingly though, tomorrow it shall become LM 350 1ST...

I don't use Google for the spreadsheets; I just do it myself. It's not that hard to create a formula to convert decimals in chains.

I will update sig later today (about 1900), but I'm on 4102 miles after yesterday's (Monday's) outing, tying me up with Trog.

I was going to wait until the end of the week and add the weeks travel all at once but on second thoughts....

Not been on the forum in the last couple of weeks, since 8th February at 14:11 apparently, but I have been busy adding some commuting miles to my total.

Now up to 3,453 miles for the year so far, so about 120 miles over my intended absolute minimum mileage I wanted by the end of March. So not too bad so far!

Not been out on a leisure trip since 2nd February 2011 now though, which is killing me!

Been a bit behind with the details recently sorry, was out Monday, Wednesday and Friday last week, and today as well. You can see my Monday journey in my sig ATM, and the Wednesday details will join it tomorrow afternoon, with the information for the last two days from mid-next week so to avoid the 500 character limit, and display all info for reasonable periods of time. My mileage is well over 5,000 now though, despite what the league table says!

Eight days ago, I was stuck on just 100 miles.

Now, I am on almost 2,000, and set to cross the line in the Leigh-on-Sea area on Wednesday. Some jump start! :D

Sounds like you're doing well so far this year Ivo! Still some way behind my total for 2011 so far though ;) Although the battle for supremacy in the West has one less warrior now, I've joined the battle in the most westerly extreme of the Midlands!

Having just added yesterdays Red Dot Day and today's trip to the Bure Valley Railway, I now stand at 888 miles (exc chains)! But it is likly to stay that way for a while as the planned mileage sheet is blank!

My records as always can be found here!

I’ve just updated my signature and mileage for Wednesday (11 days ago). From this Wednesday (2 days time), I will show the data for last Friday (9 days ago) and Saturday (8 days ago), then from next Saturday (6 days time), I will show the info for last Saturday (yesterday), and that Saturday. Cool.

NB - I know the ‘TOCs travelled with’ and ‘Classes travelled on’ are currently omitted. They will return with the above!

Is the 500 character limit in the sig inclusive or exclusive of spaces? Thanks

AFAIK, spaces count as a character.

After some commute mileage on Saturday, I'm now on 3,643 miles. Hoping immensely to be getting some leisure mileage this week, but got to wait until Friday (pay day) for that.

I've lost :( Roll on 2012...

Seriously though, I am more than satisfied by my current total of 2,176. It isn't that much, but three weeks ago I was on 100. Now, I have been all over the west of Wales, through Hereford from Newport to Birmingham, on several LM branches, and - at long last - through the Sodbury Tunnel. All in three weeks!

The West of England Main Line and the Valleys are my next targets - as is the 3,000 mark. And maybe, just maybe, I will hit 4,000 on or before my birthday in three weeks?

Aren't you still at school? How the bloody hell do you manage it, regarding both time and money?
