How many miles and chains is it from Stirling to Alloa?
And how many from Aviemore to Broomhill on the Strathspey railway?
Oh, and if anyone knows, how many from Euston tot Fortwilliam via the East Coast. (Willesden, Primrose Hill and then up via the ECML)

Where did you reverse after leaving Euston, Kilburn Loop or Wembley Yard?

Preserved railways do count, but not if you volunteer. Anything done in your leisure time counts.

Wembley Yard and then down via Primrose Hill.

Euston to Wembley Yard would be about 7 miles 31 chains where the sleeper stops. I can work out the rest of the distance, but you will have to be patient for a bit - have not even had time to work my Austrian distances out, let alone anything else!

Off to Switzerland shortly for some more kms as well, not too many though as it is not the easiest place to cover long distances.

Also a minor correction, Stirling to Alloa is actually 6 miles 62 chains now that I have found the correct location for the station in "Quail".

To be honest its only some mileage on a train, not anything that important. Let her do it in her own time for gods sake!

So what if you go on the train while you are not at 'work' and go for leisure travel on that railway?

Just like the updates to the Mileage Compo' list.. :roll:

I'm not moaning for the fun of it, but I personally feel that the compo doesn't excactly work well at all, if the list isn't updated frequently, as members update their mileage totals, via this thread. Basically, I ditto what BJMorley has previously said, earlier in the thread.

The sooner it gets updated, the better..:grin:

Here's an idea use quail maps to work out mileages.
I can work out basic sums pretty quickly using a pen paper and my brain
