Can I be boosted to 8,500 please? I can't be more exact as I need to spend about 3 hours working out the exact chainage, but that's roughly it from calculations in my head.

Well, I mostly travel with my family around places, and all the trips I can remember, Ive counted them up, and totalled them. They mght not be exact, but it's around 2747.5 miles. Ill add up all my totals for journeys Ive done myself later!!

I can't be arsed to update mine anymore. I've done roughly 2k since I last updated it, including 415 miles of Deltic.
I'm still beating Loader though, so it's all good.

I thought there was only 80 chains in a mile, so how can you have that total. If i'm right (please correct if not) you need to divide 1563 by 80, however many times 80 goes into it will then by added to your miles and the remainder will be the chainage?!

Indeed, I posted a spreadsheet that works it all out automatically...

Done, you overtook me - can't be having that!

<D<D<D

Helps to have done 546 miles one weekend followed by about 360 the following weekend, not to mention many big trips before that! It is as they say 'Every little helps'!

Going to get myself to about 9,000 in a couple of weeks time. Bring it on...I'm after a Top 5 position by the end of the year!

I don't get chains, I put how many chains into the calculator, and it said
Answer: 1563 ch. = 19.5375 mi.
OR 19 mi. and 946.0 yd,
so I added it to the total, which is 2258 miles.
Right then, I'll redo it:
2008: 841 Miles, 45 Chains
Total: 2257 Miles, 54 Chains
That better?

Yep, sounds about right! You were missing out on quite a few miles there due to the fact chainage doesn't get put on the main page, and you can claim 2258 miles in that case as it is over 40 chains you just round it up ;)

6819.50 miles- all accurately calculated, with no estimates included what so ever ;)

Edit: I've reclaimed 12th place, but for how long???
