Midland Railway - Butterley DMU Gala

Hi there folks, just some details about the annual DMU gala at the Midland Railway - Butterley on March 28th/29th 2009. :)

Saturday 28th March:

First Train from Butterley: 09.55
Last Train from Butterley: 21.00

Trains will depart from Butterley every 30 minutes until 18.25 and then running at 19.30, 20.15 and finally 21.00

Trains will depart from Swanwick Junction back to Butterley every 30 minutes starting at 10.45 continuing until 18.15 and then running at 19.15, 20.00, 20.50, and finally 21.35

Times and the units operating are posted at both Butterley and Swanwick Junction stations.
All services on the weekend make use of the Codnor Park branch and there will be regular shuttle services operating on the Swanwick Colliery branch.

Platforms 2, 3 and 4 are all in use at Swanwick Junction and access to Platforms 3 & 4 is via the foot crossing located near the Signalbox which will be closed when trains are due to pass. At the present time some 33 units are on site and most are available for viewing.

~~FISH & CHIP SPECIAL~~ (Saturday 28th Only)

Fish and Chips will be served at Butterley Station prior to the 19.30 departure, ORDERS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 18.00. The cost is expected to be around £5.00 however a varied menu is available. To place an order please enquire at the Station Master's Office at Swanwick Junction where your order will be taken.

~~UNITS RUNNING~~

The following units are expected to run:
-Class 101
-Class 114/1
-Class 127
-2nd Generation Class 141
-East Midland Trains visitor (Courtesy of East Midland Trains) (Subject to availability)

Sunday 29th March:

First Train from Butterley: 09.55
Last Train from Butterley: 16.55
