Anyone going? 56040 :D and lesser engines

Its quoted as a twenty minute walk from Wymondham BR to the preserved shack, obviously connections being "connections" I've got nearer ten, anyone know if its doable?

I've managed to run it in about 12 minutes, but it's not recommended, I nearly collapsed while doing that!  But at least the guard did hold the train for me! :)

Last time i walked it was with the Cpt, took us nearer 25 minutes as we took a wrong turning as a signpost misleadingly pointed towards a shop rather than down one of the roads either side of it and then stopped to bellow at some clown who's boot opened as he drove off and just left it!

Think I may do the bus from the Acle Saturday morning anyway, direct to Dereham for 425 on the first train Mr R.

Looks like some exercise will be in order then!

Bus allowing the last train to be got in is far more worthwhile. None of this mainline (and EH to boot) locos on preserved lines palava.

67010 being quoted again. Mega booo.

No waste of time that, move is 425 on the 1525 ex Dereham to Wymondham and bail, avoid the ped on the return and all the type 5 junk on the Beerex. ;)

Ped is a winner!! 235 is dud but need the E one. Grid + 300 tonnes of dead garbage on rear should be good.

Besides, 425 will probably have jacked by then after being asked to actually work for more than a quick shunt about.

All being well, I will also be attending. 56040 is one beast not to be missed!
