Mid Norfolk to Reopen Full Length

Good news! After being limited to the section between Dereham and Thuxton for the whole of last year, the Mid Norfolk Railway has finally got the funds to repair the problematic bridge and will be restoring services over its full length to Wymondham Abbey from 25th May.

It’s been “a few years away” since I first paid County School a visit, which was over twenty years ago!

I've yet to do this line.

Its website suggests BR Standard class 80078 is its sole operating steam loco: is this correct?

At the moment yes, but there will also be two guests at the end of June for the steam gala, and rumours abound of a second resident visiting in August
