Hello - I was wondering whether anyone could point me towards any diagrams for the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn? More specifically for the Zermatt line - would enjoy a ride on a loco hauled train if possible, or failing that one of the new Orion units. Many thanks!

I can't answer your question specifically, but there are definitely still loco-hauled trains on the Göschenen - Andermatt line, I was on one two weeks ago. Long way from Zermatt though...

Edit: just to add that any train showing on the SBB timetable with the mention "NF" (low floor/accessible boarding) is unlikely to be loco-hauled.

MGB have a fleet of fairly recent low floor coaches of which one must be included in a loco hauled set so NF in the timetable could be either loco or unit

The 09:11 Visp to Zermatt has recently been loco-hauled. This comes off the 05:51 from Brig to Zermatt (and return to Visp).

Also all but one diagram on Visp / Brig to Andermatt has been baggage-car hauled recently. The Andermatt-Goschenen has sometimes been hauled on both diagrams, or sometimes a mixture.

Thank you very much for this! So is there some randomness, rather than fixed diagrams for each train type?
