Metrolink M5000 bogie noise

I've noticed every M5000 I've been on/near over the past week has (newly, I think) had quite loud rattling & flange-scraping noises coming from the bogies when going around curves.

Does anyone know if modifications have been carried out on the fleet (perhaps adjustments to the yaw dampers to combat the oscillation-at-speed problem)?

There have been some suspension mods done recently, but I've not noticed them being any more noisy round curves!

Sounds like the butler is coming along with a rattling tray of 10 cups of tea is the best analogy of the "M5000" sound!

They dont sound any worse going round the curves than the old T68s. Ive noticed though that the low numbered trams now have a nice motor whine compared to the brand new silent 5000 series trams that have been delivered.

Saying that 3001 is 6 years old this year.

I found today what an emergency stop on a M5000 is like. A cyclist went straight out in to the path of the tram and the driver applied the brakes harshly but all the standing passengers managed to remain standing.
