Wheres 2001 these days? Not seen around for a long time.

Tram 2001 has been stored out of use for several years, as a source of spare parts. Not even sure if it has worked in passenger service.

Yes its spent years 'unfixable' after a collision totally screwed the electrical system, however this year it has been mostly fixed after resorting to external contractors and is close to returning to service. Its also recieved the mid life modifications its sisters have recieved.

It has been in traffic in the past; I got the haulage on it, and a photo, back in - appropriately enough - 2001.

Tram 2001 was outside Queens Road depot on Saturday (Jan 22nd) with its pantograph up.

Has it finally been reinstated to traffic, I wonder ?

Last official report on it (last week) said the new data cable from Bombardier (the main problem was wiring so they planned to add a spinal datacable to link systems instead of old point-point wiring) had been installed for some systems and tests were positive so more data cables would be added.

Went past the Depot today on a 3013 and it was in the depot, didn't look at the pantograph but there was no lights on.
