Hi, looking for as much information as possible on Metro trains in Melbourne, usual stuff we all want to know before applying anywhere, salary, terms and conditions, diagrams, what the company is like to work for etc...Ideally love to hear from someone who has worked for them before or has experience of the industry in Melbourne as a whole as there is another train operator there too, VLine. Any info on either would be fantastic, or drivers who've made the move from UK passenger to Oz passenger.

Thanks very much.

Vacancy up now on their website as of 21/02/15 http://metrorecruit.nga.net.au/cp/i...T&CurBID=62afb35d-9273-4a11-8dcc-9db401354197

Take a look at the following

http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1918164

That particular post will probably take you a few days to read through but should answer every question you can think of and more!

First stumbling block would be the requirement to have at least a residents visa or citizenship - do you have either?

Salary would be similar to Sydney trains I would if thought which is around $100k which equates to £50k but that figure is changing daily with the dollar becoming weaker against most currencies.
