I have just searched the forum for posts relating to Metre Gauge Lines in Portugal and encountered a thread entitled "The Douro Meter Gauge Lines in Portugal." That thread has been closed, there might be others on the same theme which I have missed. Fascinating to read about the lines around the Duoro.
I have been thinking about the metre-gauge system in Portugal after seeing a DVD in French about the Mallet loco owned by the GECP in Provence which is now running on the Nice to Digne metre-gauge railway having been fully refurbished in 2010. That loco has a Portuguese heritage and I'd like to know more about that heritage and about the lines in the North of Portugal around the Duoro Valley.
