Quick Question for anyone who might be able to help out, I am going to spend Tuseday in Merseyside tracking down 142 Class Trains for their Photos and a Ride, i was wondering how many at a guess would turn up in Merseyside in a Day?

Avoid Huyton if you are planning any quick "leaps" for taking rides in opposite directions. Due to station rebuilding, the station subway is closed, and you have to use the pedestrian subway outside the station.
If travelling to/from Mossley Hill or West Allerton, be aware that local trains may (unpredictably) use either the fast line or slow line platforms. For journeys towards Liverpool, it is often safer to stand at the top of the station footbridge until you can see a train approaching.

I agree with the advice about Huyton, it's a right ol' pain to use for quick connections at the moment. Roby is literally a stone's throw away though and many trains call there too. Check the timetable first though!
Generally speaking Mossley Hill uses the island platform for its trains during the day on the left side of the station (in the direction of South Parkway),West Allerton generally it's the outer platforms in my experience although it's best to stick to the footbridge at West Allerton as already advised until it's clear which platform it is, just in case.
