Merseyrail Guards?

I have heard that Merseyrail are planning to recruit for new guards at some point very soon. Don't suppose anyone knows anything about this? Like when or if the jobs will all go to internal applicants or do external people get an equal crack at it? I believe they're a good company to work for and that the salary in somewhere in the region of 24k?

Any info anyone might have would be wonderful!

Supposed to have come out in Feb but nothing appeared internally...

Generally advertise internally for a week before releasing it to the public, but to be honest most people just send in CVs these days and get invited to an Assessment day in the Liner Hotel, Liverpool.

I know there's a couple of vacancies, not THAT many though. They may wait until more become available. Guards apply for closed-list driver jobs, which then release guard vacancies.
