I agree. The Fiddler's Ferry route (via Ditton Junction / Widnes South) would be completely segregated between Edge Hill and Warrington Bank Quay (low level). We can have the best of both worlds with the FF route.extending Merseyrail to it is foolish. It would undermine the separateness of Merseyrail as a largely self-contained urban rail system, outside the national rail franchising structure, with train services that don't overlap/conflict with long-distance trains which are prone to delays.
